The Miami real estate market ended 2013 with solid price increases. Even with more homeowners listing their properties, strong demand continued to drive price appreciation.
The median price of a single-family home in Miami-Dade County increased 15 percent in December, compared to December 2012. It rose 5.9 percent, compared to the previous month. Single-family home sales were up 9.8 percent in December, compared to December 2012. Sales rose 16 percent, compared to November 2013. The median price of a Miami condo increased 7.4 percent and sales rose 2.2 percent, on a year-over-year basis.
